Literary Exploration: Braiding Sweetgrass
About this experience
Wednesday, December 4, 5:30-7:30pm, MOLLIE Aspen, Lower Level Weaving Room
A collaborative gathering to explore the ideas discussed in the book Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer
This engaging read eloquently weaves together Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants. It is a nonfiction book about the role of Indigenous knowledge as an alternative or complementary approach to Western Mainstream scientific methodologies.
We invite you to consider how we can bring the wisdom of Braiding Sweetgrass into our culture. Concepts for exploration: How we see ourselves and others, Reciprocity and Gifting, Mutual Flourishing, Nature (is it property or a gift or ?), and exciting collaboration!
You do not have to read the book to participate!
